The nerve inside it is no longer functioning, so it cannot send signals to your brain to let you know something is wrong. Non-vital teeth can lead to many complications, such as abscesses and bone loss, so it is often best to get them extracted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gum Disease Has Undermined the Stability of Your Teeth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Severe gum disease poses a significant threat to the structures that support teeth, including the surrounding bone.
